Fourth Grade Is Ready for FGC

Nancy Sokolik, author of Marvelous Marty and the Raging Guitars came and read to the students on Thursday.  The story is about a student choosing to be kind to a new student.  As our students transition to a new building the book reminded them of the importance of simply being nice.

Several fifth grade students came over and had a panel discussion with the fourth grade students. Fourth graders were able to ask any questions they have about the Fifth Grade Center.

Soar Up!

Today Old Bonhomme students participated in Soar Up!, a transition activity to help the students learn a little bit more about how next year will be.  Although class lists will not be finalized until this summer, students had an opportunity to visit a classroom in the next grade level.  They also got to hear from each one of the teachers in the next grade level.  We encourage you to ask your child about the event.  Here are some lead questions:

What are some things you are going to learn next year?
What special activities do you get to do next year?
What are some of the things the teachers will expect from you next year?

You can visit the Individual Student Planning page to learn about other transition activities to help students.
